Oh My Fahim! Part 1

The original pantun said,

Siakap senohong gelama ikan duri,
Bercakap bohong lama-lama mencuri.

and this is what i learned in the old days. 
However one day in 2015, Fahim said,

Siakap senohong gelama ikan duri,
Bercakap bohong lama-lama menyesal. 

Oh my Fahim!!

When i visited Cat Museum at Kuching last January, i encountered a unique proverb. i never heard this one so i found it to be so special. Nasihat yang disampaikan sangat menusuk kalbu.

'Bagai kucing dengan panggang'

Lelaki dan perempuan jangan dibiarkan bergaul rapat kerana akan timbul perbuatan sumbang.

Yes, it might be so lame to advise boys and girls, guys and ladies nowadays to 'mind your distance' or 'be careful with your hearts' since everyone will come out with something to defend themselves (me as well -_-), since it seems out-dated, too primitive yeda yeda..but the proverb really reflects what has been stated in the holy Qur'an long before. Al-Isra' verse 32.

وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الزِّنَا ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاءَ سَبِيلًا

And do not come near to adultery, it is a shameful deed and an evil, and opening the road to other evils.

who are we to ignore this? that's why i said, peribahasa di atas tu sangat menusuk. i really hope that i'll walk my talk; to practice what i preached. inshaAllah. may Allah ease.
